For most Believers, it is pretty easy to have and profess our faith, especially when life is running smoothly. The real test of our faith is when the going gets rough. When hard times come, sometimes it is easy to get discouraged. You might even blame God or give up.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,” (Psalm 103:2-3)

In the middle of hard times, you must remember what today’s Bible verse says. It tells you to praise the Lord and not to forget the good things God does for you. No matter how hard, how impossible the situation seems, God will make a way for His people.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

It is easy when things are not going the way you want them to, give up, blame God, and start throwing yourself a pity party. If you do this, you will miss out on something important God wants you to do. God tells us all not to forget the good things He has done.

When you remember God, when you remember all the things He has protected you from in the past, then you will begin to realize that God will help you out this time too.

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Instead of getting discouraged when hard times come, choose to look to God and remember how God has always brought you out of bad situations before. Realize, God will do that again for you.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Even though we have to self-isolate and practice “social distancing,” it should not prevent us from picking up the phone and taking a moment to think of a friend or family member in need of comfort and consolation. When you call them, avoid dwelling on all the negative. Instead, be positive. Speak words of encouragement and share today’s Bible verse, devotion, and, most importantly, pray with them.

There has never been another time in our life when it is so easy to share God’s love than right now. Remember, God called you for such a time as this. Pass it on.

Heavenly Father, it is in times like now that I learn to grow in Your Word and lean on You. I know You are my refuge and my fortress and in You, I will confidently trust. I belong to You, You are my strength, You are my provider, You are my healer, You are my creator. I will trust You for my life that is In You. I will encourage others as You live in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
