If you turn on the news, lately, there are a million reasons we need to trust God and not live in fear. It is natural that we have concern over our families and ourselves. We need to look to God for wisdom and take precautions in our actions.

“but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.” (Hebrews 3:6)

Just like with any challenges that can come against our lives and communities, God has given us over 7,000 promises in the Bible that are from Him to us. They are like blank checks just waiting on us to cash them, and with every promise, there is a premise (a previous statement or how an outcome was decided).

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Bible’s most famous promise from God is John 3:16; God promises we will not perish if we believe in Him. God’s gift of salvation is offered to everyone. It does not matter your religion, culture, or background. Jesus died for you.

“even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;” (Romans 3:22)

Anyone can acknowledge that Jesus exists, but the only way we can get to heaven is by placing our trust in Jesus. You can not trust Jesus unless you really have a relationship with Him. It is the difference between your head and your heart. When we know God, it means that we have a relationship with God. That is what it means to trust and believe in God.

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)

David is saying that his relationship with God is so strong that he is not going to be afraid. Is your relationship with God like that? If it is not like that, then you need to start building a stronger relationship with God today.

What does God save you from? Anything that is going around the world right now and any circumstances that you are experiencing in your life that you need God’s help.

There is no fear in love, and when you understand how deeply God loves you, it will simplify your life. It will illuminate, protect, and energize you. Let God’s love save you from a lifetime of fear.

Our faith is that Jesus is our salvation, not anyone else. Do not look for anyone else to make you feel better. Do not look for anyone else to tell you it is going to be better. Do not look for anyone else to save your life. Jesus is your salvation. Do not be afraid!

When you make decisions today, ask yourself this question, “Am I making this decision out of fear, or am I making this decision through my trust in Jesus?”

Heavenly Father, The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Your Word says Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. I must read and know what Your promises are to me so I can meditate on them in the midst of any storm. When the challenges of life come to me, I must put on the whole armor of You, stand firm against the wiles of the enemy, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of You, Father God. I will be obedient in this, so I have peace in the midst of Anything that comes against me in this world as I read and study Your Word so It lives in my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
