CONFIDENCE THROUGH FAITH
according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
We all want abundant life, and we long for more confident faith. But even though we believe in the saving grace of the cross, sometimes we grow weary and discouraged.
“according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” (Ephesians 3:11-12)
We fear we might fail in our faith, marriage, children, and love for others. Maybe we have already failed, and now we are trying to find our way back in our faith.
Sometimes we let the enemy convince us that we are incapable of living the kind of life that God has for us. We let him destroy any resemblances of confident faith with his seeds of doubts and fear. We question whether our faith is big enough, strong enough, or effective enough.
We all fall prey to the snares of comparison, doubt, sin, and defeat at some point in our spiritual journey, but that is not the life we want. The good news is, that is not the life God wants for us, either. He created us for so much more than this!
God wants us to understand that our identity is in Jesus, and we live for Him even in the middle of our everyday struggles. God wants us to light up the world one obedient step at a time. God wants us to have confident faith!
Do you long for more confidence as a Believer?
Heavenly Father, I so desire to walk in boldness and access with confidence through faith in Jesus. In this, I will not be moved, but I will stand firm against all the strategies of the enemy. My confidence must be in You each day as I grow in Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
