FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
In all of creation, only human beings are made in God's image. From the beginning, God planned to make us like Jesus. As Believers, this is our destiny. God sent Jesus on a mission to restore the fullness of God that we have lost.
"to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. "(Ephesians 3:19)
What does the fullness (image and likeness) of God look like? It looks like Jesus! The Bible says Jesus is the exact likeness of God.
“whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)
When people see our likeness in our family, it makes us feel good. God wants His children to bear His image and likeness, too.
“and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:24)
As God's creation, we will never be the Creator. God does not want us to become a god. He wants us to become Godly, taking on His values, attitudes, and character.
As we work to fulfill our calling, remember that God's goal for our lives is that He wants us to grow up spiritually and become like Jesus.
We take on an entirely new way of life, a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into our conduct as God accurately reproduces His character in us.
If anything you ever knew about your calling in life was that you are to become more like Jesus, would you be satisfied?
Heavenly Father, as I have accepted Jesus into my heart, and as I have Your Holy Spirit living within me, my life should reflect Jesus. I ask You to make me conscious of You living in me. My life should reflect You in every way I live. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
