TRUE FREEDOM IS THROUGH JESUS
The world tells us that freedom is a life without limits: Doing anything we want to do and say anything we want to say without anybody telling us what to do. Everybody else may get hurt, but we get to do it our way. The world thinks we can have our freedom, but only by being selfish.
“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.” (John 1:10)
The Bible tells us the only way to true freedom is through Jesus: If Jesus sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Real freedom is freedom from fear, where we are free from guilt, worry, bitterness, and death. We are free to stop pretending because we are free to be ourselves.
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)
When we understand how much God loved us when he sent us Jesus, we will begin to live in freedom when we understand.
How has God shown His love to you?
Heavenly Father, I want to understand and know the love You have for me. I know because of Jesus and the Holy Spirit living in me, I will grow in that love. You love me so much, and You have given me so many promises. I believe Your love. I believe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
