GOD GIVES HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER US
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
What a tremendous promise we have in today’s Bible verse. In the same way the angels surrounded the people in the Bible and protected them; they are surrounding you and protecting you today.
“For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” (Psalm 91:11-12)
God has given them charge over you to protect you. When you choose to make God your life, God charges His angels to watch over you and surround you with His divine protection.
Sometimes we need to see things, and then we understand and believe them, but other times, we can understand even without seeing.
It is easier to believe in God when we see Him in action. When we do not see Him, doubt may creep in as you wonder if God is even around or that He even cares, and God's angels? We may even doubt that level of protection, too. Maybe this is not meant for us?
Maybe today’s Bible verses were only meant for Jesus? The devil did bring it up to Jesus in the wilderness. Just as Jesus answered, “Do not put God to the test,” we, too, do not need to challenge God to prove Himself.
We need to believe God without need to see. We believe in invisible things all the time. Just take the current pandemic; it is the perfect example of us believing in something we do not see. Most of us will never see the virus with our own eyes, but we know it is real.
We take the pandemic seriously because we see its results.
The same is with God. Even though we do not see God, we often see God’s works. In nature, in our attitudes, in our relationships, in our circumstances, in God’s Word.
Our protection may be invisible, but that does not make it less real, and right now, in our world, we can use all the protection we can get!
Maybe you have never seen an angel as promised in today’s Bible verses, or perhaps you have. If God commands angels to protect us, we do not have to see it to believe it. It is true.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.” (Proverbs 3:6–7)
We need to acknowledge God in all our ways and God will direct our paths, protecting us all along the way! This level of trust says a lot about the depth of our faith.
Faith and trust are knowing that God is our protection and the One who will never let us go.

Heavenly Father, I am so thankful You give Your angels charge over me, To keep me in all my ways. In their hands they shall bear me up, Lest I dash my foot against a stone. What Love and protection You have given to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
