IN THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD

And He shall stand and feed His flock. In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth; And this One shall be peace.

Micah 5:4-5 

Many of us, with no effort, can relate to today’s devotion. Without warning, everyone around the world experienced a sudden life change. Unable to work like normal, unable to go to church, and no longer able to take our kids to school, we can all agree there was no time to adjust.

“And He shall stand and feed His flock. In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God; And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth; And this One shall be peace.” (Micah 5:4-5)
 
What the enemy created for bad God changes for good. While most people complain, hide in fear, and wonder where God is in this. We have been given an opportunity to bring people back to God. The very same opportunity to do what God has been calling us to do, and we were too busy or did not make it a priority.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

We can decide not to be victims of our circumstances but to allow them to be a defining moment in our lives. If we believe that all things work together for good to them that love God, we should expect that even this crisis can be used for God to move.

We all have an opportunity to grow and bring God’s Word to the ends of the earth. This is what God has called every one of us to do. We can choose not to be crushed by all the frustration but to send God’s message of love and change the world. 

There is no better time to go back to the drawing board and seek the Lord for what He has called us to do. What if right now is your opportunity to live for God in a new way? We have been granted this opportunity to rise above our circumstances and do something new. 

Do not look back and regret not taking advantage of this time! It is up to us to decide if we allow our circumstances to stop us or push us forward! Refuse to allow the enemy to cheat you out of what God is calling you to do. 

Start by praying for those who are hurting right now and for the complete healing of everyone who has been affected by COVID-19. 

In today’s Bible verses, God is telling us everything is going to be ok. We can live securely and in peace. God can say this because He is in charge of our future circumstances, and God is responsible for our outcomes; only God can guarantee the safety of those who Trust in Him. God brings comfort by giving us hope.

This hope is based on God’s greatness. He tells us He will shepherd His people. He will guard, care, and direct His people like a shepherd looking after his sheep. God never meets a circumstance that surprises Him or one He can not change. God acts in strength with the power and authority over every situation. This gives us such confidence that we never have to fear the future.

Only God is powerful enough to guarantee the security of His people. We can feel safe today. Let this be our defining moment to bring the Word of God to every person.
