THE RIGHT CHOICE
For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
In our culture, we place the highest value on things that have only temporary value. Then we completely ignore the one thing that has the highest value: our souls. We put all the emphasis on the outward things that we will leave behind. The fact is that everything will be left behind when we go to heaven.
“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
Not only has our culture lost sight of the human soul, but we have lost sight of the value of human life in general and replaced it with selfishness, rage, and anger.
These feelings happen when a society feels hopeless. There is a sense of hopelessness among people more than ever before. Surrounded by violence, anger, lack of opportunity, and other high-risk behavior, people are feeling hopeless and are crying out for help.
We have lost sight of the value of human life. We have lost sight of the value of the soul. Jesus asked this question: “What will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
God values the human soul, and He has called us to be soul winners. The Bible says, “He who wins souls is wise.”
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30)
Are you a soul winner? God is looking for a man, woman, boy, or girl who will say, “Yes, God. Send me.” God wants to use you today to win souls.
Will you let God use you to win souls today?
Heavenly Father, You have said For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? I will focus on You today as You lead me to those who need You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
