ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Today’s Bible verse is a prayer that Paul had prayed for the Ephesians. He wanted them to begin to understand and comprehend how much God loved them. Paul knew that if they could get a glimpse of God’s love that it would change their lives.
“that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,” (Ephesians 3:17)
When we know God’s love, it changes everything. It changes how we view other people and also how we view ourselves. When we get an understanding of God’s love, everything is different in our lives! Our faith changes. Our circumstances change. We change.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
What does it mean to have faith? When we have faith, we trust or believe in something very strongly. When we are faced with hard situations, we need to pray and have faith in God.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Putting our trust and hope in God sometimes can be tough, especially when it seems like everything in the world is going wrong. When we find ourselves in the middle of difficult times, spend time in God’s Word. It will help us stay focused on God’s love and His plan for our lives. We will find the perfect answer. Faith!
“that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:5)
God’s love will bring us closer to God so that we will begin to have a revelation of God’s love for us. It is one thing to know about God’s love and another thing to really understand and experience it. That is what today’s Bible verse is all about.
How can you improve your relationship with God?
Heavenly Father, my faith will not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of You. I must be in Your Word as faith comes by hearing Your Word. Christ in my heart through faith; I am rooted, grounded in love, Your Word in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
