ALIVE IN JESUS
What does it mean to be alive in Jesus? It does not mean that we must have our life together. Being alive in Jesus does not mean that we are happy all the time. It does not mean that our lives are the same as our posts on social media. Being alive in Jesus means the exact opposite.
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” (Ephesians 2:1)
Today’s Bible verse says that even though we were dead in our sins, God made us alive together with Jesus. It is in that imperfection God’s grace appears. God is at work in the ordinary, everyday messiness of life.
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,” (1 Peter 3:18)
God is at work right now in the middle of all the chaos. We must not forget that Jesus came into this world for every one of us. Not a select few but any person that will make Jesus their Lord and Savior. The enemy tries to kill, steal, and destroy anything in his path.
Being alive in Jesus does not mean we will be in a constant state of smiles and joy. It means our foundation is so strong that even when the storms of life come, we can live through them. Even when we were dead in our sins, God gave us life through Jesus.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Jesus invites us to live a life in Him today. In Jesus, we are firmly planted on an unshakable foundation: God’s unconditional love for us. In both ordinary and extraordinary ways, Jesus is inviting us to live free from sin, free from guilt, free from sadness, free from oppression, free from hate where we are all equal and alive in Jesus!

Heavenly Father, I am alive in You in the family of God, where we are all One in You in the family of God, and by this Love of You in us, others will know we are Your disciples. We walk in Your Words and bring Glory to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
