APPROVED BY GOD
But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.
As Believers, we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Gospel message. Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Every Believer is called to do that, and we all have the responsibility to share the Gospel.
"But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts." (1 Thessalonians 2:4)
Here is what today's Bible verse means. As Believers, we all have the same Gospel, and we each have to ask ourselves the question, "How am I going to share the Gospel?" It isn't about how someone else is going to share the Gospel. It is about how you are going to do it.
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
That is our calling as Believers. We need to think about our friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and our circle of influence and ask ourselves every day, "How am I going to share the Gospel today?"
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” (Revelation 22:12)
That reward is directly connected to how faithful we are in this life. We act as though everything that is going to happen to us happens only here. Hell is full of people that have made this assumption. A lot of important things happen here, but the most important decision we will ever make occurs in this life: the decision to follow Jesus and what we do for Him.
Our faithfulness here will result in rewards in heaven, and when we go home to be with Jesus, we will reap what we have done down here today, tomorrow, and every day for the rest of our lives.
