JESUS BROKE THE BARRIER OF SIN

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Sin has always created a barrier to enter into the presence of God. Sin separates us from God. It always drives a wedge and hinders our relationship with God.

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19)

Sin became a problem for Adam, for the children of Israel, and it remains a problem for us today. Jeremiah told us about the faithfulness and goodness of God. He said that if it were not for the mercy and compassion of God, we would be consumed by sin. God’s mercies are renewed to us every morning.

“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

As faithful as God is to mercy, He does have limits. That limit is always pushed by sin. When sin enters into the relationship, that sin divides it and hinders our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

God cannot abide in sin. Not because God can not handle it, but because we can not handle God in His holiness. We would be consumed by our sin in His presence. Separation is God’s way of protecting us when we sin.

God has chosen people to live in a special relationship with Him today. He promises to protect His people and provide for their needs. God wants His people to live separately and set apart from the world that surrounds them. Not physically set apart, but spiritually set apart.

God wants us to live for Him in a world that does not know Him. God requires that we place our faith in Jesus! God requires that we accept His death as payment for our sins.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

God loves us so much He will not allow our sins, failures, and mistakes to keep Him from blessing us. He has taken it upon Himself to initiate and maintain a loving relationship with us. Faith in Jesus breaks the barrier of sin that separates us from God.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34)

Ask Jesus to break down any barriers that prevent you from a relationship with God. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is the day of your salvation. Do not wait. Call out to Jesus. He is waiting for you!

All you have to do is pray the following prayer right now:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

In the quietness of your own heart, ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Jesus will not reject you. He will love you. Jesus will give you a new life. Jesus will show you how much He loves you. All you have to do is believe and pray.

What does God require of you today?

Heavenly Father, through Your mercy, I am not consumed, Because Your compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” I know You so loved the world that You gave Your only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. I choose the everlasting life in You. I do not want any sin to separate me from You and what You have given to me. Now a new commandment You give to me, that I am to love one another; as You have loved me, that I also love one another. I am so thankful to be a child of God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
