AUDIO VERSION

When we have hurt in our lives, we need to focus on reconciliation, not resolution. There is a big difference between reconciliation and resolution. Reconciliation means re-establishing the relationship. Resolution means resolving every issue.

“who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:4-6)

In most cases, a resolution is not going to happen; there are some things we will never agree on.

Can we have a loving relationship without agreeing on everything? Yes, but it takes wisdom. When we are wise, we learn to disagree without being disagreeable; we learn to walk hand in hand without seeing eye to eye.

One of the greatest things we can do with our lives is to be a reconciler. We are most like Jesus when we are reconciling people. That is what Jesus came here to do! God sent Jesus to Earth to reconcile humanity with God.

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,” (1 Timothy 2:5)

We can not make peace with other people until we make peace with God. If we find ourselves in constant conflict, we need to ask ourselves whether we have made peace with God. We can make peace with God by repenting of our sins and dedicating our lives to serving Him.

Peace with God leads to peace with yourself, which leads to peace with others.

Are you at peace with God? If not, what is keeping you from making peace with Him today?

Heavenly Father, You sent us the Prince of Peace, and I ask You to bring Your peace to my life and relationships. I want to live the way that You created me to live, and I want to dedicate the rest of my life to serve You, and I commit my life to You and ask You to save me and accept me into Your family. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
