AUDIO VERSION

This is a good test of our spiritual maturity, Way better than asking how much of the Bible we know, how often we go to church, or whether we serve, tithe, or pray.

“And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.” (Mark 6:34)

Life is all about love and relationships. If we want to gauge our spiritual maturity, think about how we see other people.

How does God see us? Valuable. Acceptable. Lovable. Forgivable. Is that the way other people see us?

How about the person at the grocery store? The driver who cuts us off in traffic? The homeless person on the street? What do we see when we look at other people?

All people matter to God. It does not matter who they are, what they have done, or even what they believe. Jesus died for each one of them. Jesus loves every one of them.

God has a plan for everyone, and God wants them to have a relationship with Him.

That is the way Jesus sees people. That is the way we can grow to see people too. We can learn to have compassion for our own family and our neighbors, our community, our country, and the rest of the world.

Let our spiritual vision get stronger as we learn to see people the way Jesus sees them.

How do you know if you are looking at life from God’s viewpoint?

Heavenly Father, as I live out my relationship with You, I must be submissive to Your will and purpose for my life. I want to show that living relationship that comes by prayer, reading Your Word each and every day, and meditation of Your Word. Then I have that living relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
