FAITH NOT DOUBT
So Jesus answered and said to them, Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea, it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
We have all experienced a moment in our lives when we realized things are not as they seem. The Bible verse for today is no different; Jesus saw a fig tree full of leaves, a sign that it should bear fruit, but when He got closer to the fig tree, there was no fruit.
So Jesus answered and said to them, Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:21-22
The fig tree had all the outward signs of having fruit, but there was nothing below the leaves. Jesus cursed the tree, and it withered and died.
Like the fig tree, many Believers have all the outward signs of a relationship with God but bear no spiritual fruit. They are more worried about what other people think of them than what God does. Accepting Jesus as the Lord of their lives could create problems between themselves and others.
Accepting Jesus as Lord would be a decision they would make themselves that would not depend on others. However, they think it would be easier to avoid conflict and ridicule by not outwardly accepting Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
Following Jesus comes at a cost; it is not always popular or easy. Jesus teaches us to have unshakeable faith and prayer, and all things are possible to those who believe in Him.
Jesus wants us to have genuine, fruit-bearing faith in God, not just going through the motions.

Heavenly Father, I believe every word in the Bible; therefore, I will act upon Your Word. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my pathway.
