WE REAP WHAT WE SOW
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
Sowing and reaping is more than just our finances; it applies to every area of our lives. Whatever we sow in our lives, we reap in our lives.
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
Whatever we deposit to other people is going to be returned to us. If we sow criticism in our lives, we will reap criticism from other people in our lives.
If we sow kindness in our lives, we will reap kindness. It is the rule of the harvest; if we plant apple trees, we will not get pears; we will get apples. If we sow with a generous heart, we will reap generosity.
This is the principle of the harvest of God: Whenever we have a need, plant a seed. When a farmer looks at his empty fields, he does not complain; he goes out and starts planting seeds.
If the farmer only has a few seeds, he has a choice. He can either hold on to it and have no harvest. If we give it away, God will multiply it. We do not just reap what we sow; we always reap way more than we sow.
God set it up this way: God wants us to become like Him. God is a giver. The only way we will become like God is to learn to be generous. When we are stingy, we act like the enemy wants us to act. When we are generous, we act like God. When we give it away, God multiplies it.
To the world, this does not make any sense to give when we have a need so that we will get more back in return, but that is why it requires faith.
How are you going to live today?
Heavenly Father, I want to be more like You. I want Your Holy Spirit to have full control. As my life reflects You, I will give of You in any area You call me to give. I am never without seed to plant as You provide seed for sowing and the bread I will need for reaping. All belongs to You, and as I am Your child, I seek You first in everything. I can be generous as I act like You. As we give, we will receive. You gave Jesus life on the cross for me so I can be forever with You. What a joyful life in You. In Jesus name, Amen.
