HEALING IN JESUS
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
This is a reminder of what Jesus endured for us. His suffering was the very act that brought us salvation, peace, and healing. Every wound He took, every stripe on His back, was for a purpose: to redeem us.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
Thinking about our mistakes, failures, and sins makes it easy to feel unworthy, but Isaiah clarifies that Jesus willingly took our punishment. He did not do it reluctantly or out of obligation. He did it out of love. The weight of our sin was heavy, but He carried it so we would not have to carry it.
The sacrifice of Jesus brings forgiveness, but it also brings peace. That deep, lasting peace that so many search for can only be found in Jesus. The punishment that should have been ours fell on Jesus, and in exchange, He offers us peace that goes beyond understanding.
The healing Jesus offers us is more than just physical healing. It includes emotional healing, spiritual healing, and restoring everything broken in our lives.
Maybe you have been carrying wounds from your past: hurtful words, broken relationships, regrets. Jesus covered all the sins you have committed and also all the pain you have endured. His stripes make you whole again.
Today, hold onto this truth: You are forgiven, at peace with God, and healed in Jesus. Whatever burden you are carrying, lay it at the feet of Jesus. He already paid the price. Now, walk in the freedom and healing He has given you.
Heavenly Father, I am very thankful I am not alone nor do I have to carry life’s burdens alone. You are always there to pick me up in any given situation. You are a faithful God and You want the best for me. As I meditate on Your Word, I know Your love abounds to me, and all the answers to life situations are found in You. Thank You, Father. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
