MY GOD, IN HIM I WILL TRUST
There is something powerful about declaring who God is in your life. When the storms of life come, when fear tries to creep in, and when uncertainty shakes your foundation, this reminds you where to stand, firmly in the presence of God.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Psalm 91:2
The psalmist does not just believe that God is a refuge and fortress; he says it. He declares it with confidence. This is not only about positive thinking, t is about placing trust in the unshakable, unchanging nature of God.
A refuge is a safe place to run to, and a fortress is a place of strong protection. God is both. He is the shelter in your storm and the fortress that shields you from enemy attacks.
There are days when burdens feel too heavy and when worries press in from every side, but this Bible verse encourages you to take action, declare your trust in God. Not only in your mind but out loud. When you spend time in the Word, your heart aligns with His peace. Fear loses its grip. Anxiety begins to fade. Faith rises.
Notice the personal nature of this verse: My God, in Him I will trust. This is about knowing that God is a refuge for others, it is about making that personal decision to trust Him yourself. God is not just a fortress; He is your fortress. God is not just a refuge; He is your refuge.
Whatever you face today, remind yourself that you trust in God; He is your refuge. Speak it over your life. Say it in the face of fear. Whisper it in moments of doubt. Shout it in victory. My God, in Him I will trust.
As you do, peace will replace fear. Strength will replace weakness. Hope will rise again. Because God is faithful, and in Him, you are always safe.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my refuge and strength in a time of need. As I look to You and my focus is upon You, You will and do hear and answer my prayer. I thank You as in troubled times of things around me, I can get my peace from You. Thank You, Father God. Where would I ever be without You and Your lead? I praise You for the peace in You. I thank You and pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
