GOD WITH US
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us.
Christmas is a time to celebrate the greatest gift ever given, Jesus, our Immanuel. Immanuel is more than just a name; it is a declaration of the heart of God for humanity. It means God with us, a truth that changes everything.
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, God with us. Matthew 1:23
From the very beginning, God desired to be close to His people. He walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, but that relationship was broken when sin entered the world. Yet God never gave up on us. He made a way to bring us back to Him, which would involve sending His own Son.
When Jesus was born, He stepped into our world. He left heaven to experience human life. He did not come as a king or a ruler demanding obedience. He came as one of us: a baby, vulnerable and humble. He lived among us, sharing our joys, sorrows, struggles, and victories.
This is the miracle of Christmas: God sent His Son to be with us, and because Jesus came, we are never alone. In every moment of life, whether it is filled with celebration or sorrow, He is with us.
Whatever you face today, you can trust that God understands and cares. He is walking with you, offering His strength and love.
This Christmas, thank God for His presence in your life and for coming to you in the most personal way possible. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving Jesus so we can spend eternity with You. As I have asked Jesus to live within me and guide my life, I can now have the joy of You, Lord, and now have strength like no other to face my tomorrows. Whatever I face today, I can trust that You understand and care. You are walking with me, offering Your strength and love. Thank You, Father. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
