GOD IS FAITHFUL

Look among the nations and watch— Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you.
Keep this devotional for the times when you face a problem and are waiting for God's answer. Today's Bible verse from Habakkuk gives us the answer.
"Look among the nations and watch— Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you." (Habakkuk 1:5)
Have you ever prayed for months or even years for a personal breakthrough or solution to a problem? After days, weeks, and even years of feeling like your prayers are going unanswered, it is easy to wonder if God will ever answer.
Is God not listening, or are we not praying hard enough, long enough, or faithfully enough?
Habakkuk asked these same kinds of questions. Habakkuk asked God how long he had to cry out before receiving an answer.
“O Lord, how long shall I cry, And You will not hear? Even cry out to You, “Violence!” And You will not save.” (Habakkuk 1:2)
From Habakkuk's perspective, God stood idly and did nothing while injustices were committed against God's people. Hostile forces had surrounded Jerusalem. It seemed that God was not hearing Habakkuk's prayers, or was He?
God answered, and His response amazed Habakkuk. God told Habakkuk to look and see that He was at work and had always been at work.
God had raised the Babylonians, a wicked and idolatrous nation, to do God's plan.
"What? That does not make any sense," you might be saying. "Why would God raise up a foreign power to persecute His chosen people instead of rescuing them? What does this mean for me and my own problems?"
It means that God is at work, and we can be confident that God's plan will come to pass. It might take longer than we like but make no mistake. It will happen in God's timing.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” (Habakkuk 2:3)
What are you supposed to do while we wait? Habakkuk gives that answer: As a child of God, we are to live by faith.
“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4)
The more we walk by faith, the more we will learn to wait on God's timing, trusting that God will come through for us at the right time. Even when our circumstances do not seem to make sense, we must defer to God's wisdom and remember His faithfulness.
Remember this: When faced with a problem, God will be faithful if everything you try fails. God will come through. That is why you can have peace that everything will be okay. God has the whole world and your life in His hands.
“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills.” (Habakkuk 3:18-19)
God is at work yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God has this. Rejoice and thank God in advance for your answer to your prayers! He will be your strength, and He will make your feet steady as you walk by faith, not by what you see.
Walk by faith and enjoy the adventure of a lifetime. God will come through.

Heavenly Father, I am so thankful I have learned to trust You. You said You would never leave me nor forsake me. I call upon You in this day of trouble. You said You would hear and answer prayer. I know my times are in Your hand, and You are Always there for me. I walk by faith, believing Your every Word, and therefore I walk in peace in the midst of this storm. All praise to You, my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
