MAKING GOOD DECISIONS
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Sometimes we struggle with making a decision. Maybe we are afraid to make the wrong choice, so it is hard for us to commit to making a decision and stick with it.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16)
Making decisions can be difficult at times, but here are a few thoughts that we think will help make the decision-making process more manageable. We might be faced with a decision today, and it can be hard to know what the right choice is.
First, we have to know that God wants to speak to us, and God wants to show us things to come and help us make good decisions. Once we have that settled in our hearts, then we need to determine to do what today’s Bible verse says.
It is challenging us to let the Word of God fill our lives. Hearing from God often involves getting into the Word of God. As we read our Bible, God will often lead us to a Bible verse that will help us make a decision. God leads us through His Word.
Making better decisions always starts by putting God and His Word first in our lives. If we choose to always put God first in our lives, we will find that we will make better decisions and live with less regret and headaches. Choose to always put God and the Bible first in our lives!
So today, if you have not already, spend some time in God’s Word. By getting into God’s Word, you get God’s heart into your head and your heart. This will help you make a good decision.
God wants to speak to you; all you have to do is to silence all the noise around you and learn to spend time listening to God instead of everything else around you.
How can you be confident that you hear from God concerning decisions like these?
Heavenly Father, I will put You first place each day. I will read Your Word, pray, and listen and do what Your Word says. You are Almighty God and my Father. You know all things. As I make today’s decisions, I know You will lead me in peace. Thank You for such great love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
