REMOVING OUR TRANSGRESSIONS
When Jesus was on the cross, He was removing our sins. He removed them as far as the east is from the west. That means our sins are no longer able to be found.
“As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
No matter how far you travel east, you will never reach a point at which your next step must be westward. The east is in one direction, and the west is in the opposite direction.
Unlike the north and south, which meet at the poles, east and west never meet. That is God’s forgiveness, He forgives and removes our sins from us and puts them as far away as it is possible to imagine.
God has made provision for our sins to be forgiven and for fellowship with Him to be restored.
This means that once our sins have been removed from us, we will never be held accountable for them. God will never bring them up again. Period end of the story. They are wiped clean.
Jesus removed our sins completely when He was on the cross. We are now able to go to God as though our sin never existed. All barriers between God and us have been removed, and we can boldly approach His throne.
The next time you approach God’s throne, remember that your sins are removed as far as the east is from the west!
Heavenly Father, because of Jesus, I now can call You Father. When Jesus came to live within my heart, He became my Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit was given to me to lead, guide, and direct. All You wanted from me was for me to repent of my sins and accept Your love and forgiveness. Now all barriers have been removed. Thank You for all You have given to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
