BUILDING GOD’S KINGDOM

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
When asked why they got saved, most Believers respond, “So they can go to Heaven when they die.” But God does not only want to get us into Heaven; God wants to bring Heaven into us right now.
“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:9)
God’s kingdom is not a place we can only reach when we die; God wants to establish His kingdom here now. God wants to use you.
Consider looking at our salvation with a new perspective. It is possible to have a saved soul but a lost life if we do not recognize how God wants to work through us.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
Jesus brought God’s kingdom with Him when He defeated death and sat down at the right hand of God. At the same time, the day is coming when Jesus will return, and wherever He is, God’s kingdom will be there.
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)
Remember to keep God’s Word in our hearts, minds, and mouth. Meditate about God’s character, promises, and the things He has already done in our lives.
Because we will move in the direction of our thoughts, we need to fill our minds with things that are just, pure, and of good report. As we keep our thoughts on God, we will build the kingdom of God wherever we go.
How will you build God’s kingdom today?
Heavenly Father, It is in Your Kingdom that I find wisdom and rest for my soul. To keep out the cares of life, I must fill my heart with Your Word. Whatever I keep in front of my eyes, or hear in my ears, is what is going deep within my heart. This must be Your Word in me. I am so thankful for the Kingdom of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
