HEAVEN IS A REAL PLACE, AND IT IS FOREVER.
When the thief hanging next to Jesus on the cross asked Him to remember him, He gave us all the characteristics of salvation that we can trust and believe in.
“And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
When we die, we either go straight into the presence of God, or we go straight into separation from God, and salvation is immediate too. The moment you ask Jesus to save you, you are saved.
When we accept Jesus into our lives, we can be certain of our salvation.
It is not a religion. It is not rules or regulations, or rituals. It is a relationship. That relationship does not begin when we get to heaven. It begins the moment we have Jesus, the Lord of our lives. Jesus wants to be our best friend; He wants to talk with us. God made us for a relationship with Him.
“For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Two thieves were crucified with Jesus, one on either side. Jesus gave them the choice of salvation, and He gives us the same choice. Jesus will not force us to love Him. He is not going to force us to trust Him or accept heaven.
One of the two thieves rejected Jesus. The other turned to Jesus in faith. We have the same choice.
What is one step that you can take to better your relationship with Jesus?
Heavenly Father, I am so very thankful for You sending Your Son to die in my place. I now have life in You, and I know Your Holy Spirit is in me to lead and guide me into all truth. I will better my relationship with You by reading and studying Your Word each day, then meditate and ponder what You have said. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
