PRAISE HARVEST
Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
Right now, it may seem that what is going on n the world today, the last thing we want to do is to give thanks. It is easy for each of us to give thanks when our health is excellent, and the future is good, but when there is a sudden, tragic turn of events in our lives, it is not as easy to give thanks.
“Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.” (Psalm 67:5-7)
Sometimes we feel good, and sometimes we are not feeling so good at all, but we are to give thanks to the Lord no matter how we are feeling.
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 106:1)
We all need to understand that thanks should be offered to God regardless of our circumstances, tell us. At times our praise will come easily, and other times, it will be a sacrifice, but to offer praise to God in a moment like that is a sacrifice of praise. That means we need to praise God even when we feel like we have nothing to praise about.
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, [a]giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13:15)
We were all created to give glory to God. The best use of our mouths, lips, tongues, and the formation of our words, is to give honor and glory to God. He wants to hear us give Him praise. We need to give God what He deserves, and that is a harvest of praise. Set yourself to consciously praise God even amid uncertainties, and you will reap a harvest of health, protection, and blessings in your life.
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 106:1)
Notice that the Bible does not say, “Give thanks to the Lord when you feel good.” Instead, it says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!” Remember this week we do not praise God because we feel like it. We praise God because He is worthy, regardless of what we are going through.
How will you praise God today?
Heavenly Father, I come before you with a harvest of praise. Thank you for sending Jesus into my life and protecting my family and me from any harm. Give me a heart full of praise, so when the circumstances of life come against me, I am rooted in Your Word, and I will praise You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
