SING TO GOD A NEW SONG
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
God expects you to be so blessed by Him and so full of His love for you that you simply cannot keep the Gospel quiet but must shout it out to the world.
“Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples” (Psalm 96:1-3)
Have you ever been so filled by the love of God that you had an intense desire to share what you know about God with other people?
In Psalm 96, you see an attitude of heart that explains why this should be in your life and how you should achieve it. David knew this better than anyone. If ever there was a person who felt the joy of the Lord, it was David. With every fiber of his being, he wanted the whole world to know it.
This is a very important lesson for all of us because Paul also says in Philemon 6 that you must be active in sharing your faith so that you might have a full understanding of every good thing in Jesus.
Paul is saying that you must share to understand, and as you understand, you have more to share, which is the spiritual development that demands you give your faith away in order to make your faith stronger.
What Psalm 96 demonstrates to you is how this sharing of faith should be done. We need to sing a new song in our hearts every day. If you are to share, you must have something to share since you can not share what you do not have.
As a Believer, you must be focused on the awesome presence of God in your life and see the new things God is doing in your life every day. Our message of sharing the Gospel should always be fresh and passionate each and every day.
“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26)
The most important message you must share with others is the message of salvation. What is important for you is that you are in Jesus, which can only happen when you have made Jesus the Lord of your life. Why is it important to be saved? It is because it is at the time of being saved when you have the blood of Jesus to wash away your sins.
“And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’” (Acts 22:16)
As you read in the Word of God, you must become a student of God’s Word so that you might learn God's truths and apply His principles in your life. God will teach you the truths of the Bible and build into you wisdom, insight, and discernment as you practice the obedience of faith in your life and then share it with others.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2)
God will always give you His message for each day if you are daily aware of what new things He is doing for you, and if you are eager to live God’s plan for your life and share His salvation with other people.
You have so much to share that is life-changing and soul-saving that you must not keep quiet just as David could not be quiet! God expects you out of love for others and obedience to Him to share His message with the world, just as Psalm 96 instructed you to do.

As Your Word grows deep in my heart and lives out in my life, others will see and know You. When I see the fear and distraught in the world, I know my refuge is in You. You are my shield and my deliverer, and I have a message to live and share. I thank You for Your presence in my life and Your Word that gives me my message. I have You, Your Word, and You live in and through me. Others will know You by You living in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
