DEFINITION OF FAITH
Faith is not wishful thinking or optimism. It has substance and gives us a solid foundation for what we hope for even when we do not see them.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Faith provides a real, tangible basis for believing in the promises of God, even when we cannot see them yet.
Faith is like having a strong conviction about something even though we can not see it with our physical senses.
When we live by faith, it requires a shift in perspective by choosing to trust in the faithfulness of God and His Word above what we can immediately see or feel.
This kind of faith pleases God because it demonstrates our confidence in Him and His promises.
We often face situations that challenge our faith, and It is easy to become discouraged or doubtful when circumstances seem overwhelming or when our prayers are not answered as quickly as we would like them to be.
The Bible encourages us to hold on to our faith. Even when the evidence around us points to the opposite, our faith in the character of God and His promises remain steadfast.
Are there areas where you need to exercise more faith? You may be waiting for a breakthrough in your career, healing in your body, provision for a pressing need, or whatever it might be.
Choose to put your hope in the unchanging truth of the Word of God and let your faith grow, knowing that God is faithful to fulfill His promises.
Heavenly Father, I am blessed to be a blessing today. I have put my hope in the unchanging truth of Your Word, and my faith is growing. As I live by faith, it requires a shift in my perspective by choosing to trust in the faithfulness of You and Your Word above what I can immediately see or feel. Thank You for Your unchanging love for Your children. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
