AUDIO VERSION

Paul offers us insight into the timing and purpose of the second coming of Christ.

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5

Paul reminds us that Jesus did not come to Earth by chance; God precisely timed it.

Imagine the anticipation building up for centuries as prophets foretold the coming of the Messiah. Then, at just the right moment in history, Jesus was born. It was not a coincidence. It was the perfect timing of God.

Paul tells us that Jesus came to fulfill a specific purpose: to redeem us. Born under the law, Jesus lived a perfect life, fulfilling every requirement of the law that we could not. He paid the price for our sins through His death and resurrection, offering us redemption and freedom.

Think about what that means for us. We were once slaves to sin, bound by its power and unable to free ourselves.

Jesus, through His sacrifice, broke the chains of sin and offered us adoption as sons and daughters of God.

Adoption implies a change in status. It means being welcomed into a new family with all the rights and privileges that come with that family. Through faith in Christ, we are no longer in debt to sin but beloved children of God, heirs to His kingdom.

As you go through your day today, remember the significance of the timing and the purpose of Jesus and rejoice in the freedom and adoption you have received through Him.

Live each day with gratitude, knowing that you are loved and cherished by your heavenly Father.

Heavenly Father, I am thankful I am a child of Yours.  Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, I have now been able to enter the Kingdom of You, Father God. As I have asked Jesus into my heart, I can now rejoice in Your provisions and Your promises. Thank You, Father, for providing the way to salvation. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
