ANCHORED IN FAITH

For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
Life sometimes tests how confident we feel. There are seasons when our prayers feel unanswered, plans do not work out, and life can be overwhelming. In those moments, it is natural to rely on ourselves—our abilities, resources, and understanding. But Paul reminds us that real peace comes from knowing the One who lovingly holds our lives in His hands.
For this reason, I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. 2 Timothy 1:12
Paul wrote these words during truly difficult times. He was imprisoned, misunderstood, and coming to the end of his journey here on earth. Yet there is not a hint of fear or regret in what he says. Instead, his words ring with hope and assurance. Notice, he does not say, “I know what I believe.” He says, “I know whom I have believed.” His faith rested not in an idea, but in a Person—Jesus Christ.
Paul was absolutely sure that God could take care of everything he had given over to Him. His future, his ministry, his salvation, and his forever with God were safe because they were in God’s care. That same sense of security is a gift for every Believer today. God does not just save us—He walks with us, guides us, protects us, and always keeps His promises.
Faith does not mean life is always easy. Paul faced so many hardships, but he never lost his confidence, because it was anchored in God’s faithfulness. When we know God’s loving character, we can trust Him—even when we do not understand what He is doing. Our lives may change, but God’s power and love never will.
There is so much comfort in knowing that everything we give to the Lord is safe in His hands. Every prayer, every worry, every hope, and every concern—we can bring them all to Him. He can carry what feels too heavy for us. He guards what matters most. He will finish the good work He has started in us.
Today, let your confidence rest not in your circumstances, but in your loving Savior. The God who has carried you faithfully this far will keep holding you, all the way until you stand in His presence. Trust Him with your whole heart—He is able, and He cares for you.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being faithful through every season. Help me trust You completely and place every burden in Your hands. Strengthen my faith, guide my steps, and remind me that You are able to keep all I commit to You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
